The tiny days
go fast.

Newborn and maternity sessions in a calm, warm Rochester studio.

A softer kind of first

Made for the
in-between.

The sleepy stretches. The little fingers curled around yours. The way home feels entirely new.

I'm Niesha Johnson, a Rochester photographer for the season before and just after your baby arrives. We'll make room for feeding, settling, and being exactly where you are, with no hurry, no expectations, and no pressure to perform.

What to expect

Come as you are.
We'll take it from there.

You don't need to practice a pose or pack the whole nursery. I've made a warm place for the things that matter, and plenty of time for everything else.

A date around your due date

I'll reserve a flexible window now, and we'll choose your exact morning once your baby arrives.

  2. 02

    A warm welcome

Soft wraps, simple layers, tea for you, and no clock-watching. Feeding breaks are part of the session.

  3. 03

    Your story, thoughtfully held

In about two weeks, your hand-edited gallery arrives ready to revisit, share, and keep.

Small hands, thoughtful care

Gentle is
the whole point.

Baby's comfort sets the pace. Always.

Supported posing

Every position is baby-led and fully supported. I never ask a baby to hold a pose on their own.

A comfortably warm studio

I keep the studio cozy for little ones, and we take breaks whenever your baby needs to stretch or feed.

A fresh, sanitized setup

Wraps and linens are freshly laundered; surfaces and shared studio pieces are sanitized between families.

The way it felt

Notes from the other side

Words from
new parents.

Little reminders of how it can feel to slow down and let the day unfold.

Nothing was rushed, even when our little one needed a feed and a reset. The pictures feel like the morning really felt.

We came in sleepy and unsure. We left feeling like we'd just spent a quiet morning with someone who understood.

Reach out during pregnancy, ideally in your second or early third trimester. I reserve space around your due date, then confirm the exact day once your baby is here.
Most families come in during baby's first two weeks, but there is no strict cutoff. We'll plan around your baby's temperament and what feels right for your family.
Keep it simple. I have neutral wraps and layers at the studio; for parents, soft solid colors and comfortable clothes photograph beautifully. A short prep guide comes with your booking.
Absolutely. Parents and siblings are part of your baby's story, and we make time for those together moments without asking anyone to sit still for long.
Your newborn booking is held around your due date rather than on a single fixed date. When your baby arrives, we'll find a new morning that works.

One day at a time

Let's remember
how small.

Your date can move. The feeling is worth keeping.
